Excellent performance from SKF bearings generate more orders from OEM water purification specialist

An&#160;OEM&#160;water&#160;solutions&#160;company was approached for assistance by their customer who was experiencing constant&#160;bearing&#160;failures. “Although the&#160;OEM&#160;company used non-SKFbrands, their customer insisted on&#160;SKF&#160;bearings&#160;as the best replacement for the problematic&#160;bearings,” states Anneritha Maritz, Key Accounts Manager at&#160;SKF.&#160; Following an investigation of the&#160;water&#160;purification process,&#160;SKF&#160;concluded that two types of&#160;bearings&#160;(6302 2Z/C3 and 7304 BE) would offer the ideal solution for this application. The&#160;OEM&#160;subsequently bought ten of each of these&#160;bearings. Since the&#160;installation&#160;of these&#160;SKF&#160;bearings, no failures have been reported by the end-user. The&#160;OEM&#160;has since placed more orders with&#160;SKF&#160;for these&#160;bearings. “Although the&#160;OEMhas been using our Mapro&#160;products&#160;for a number of years this is the first time that they have ordered our&#160;bearings. Having gained the customer’s trust we have successfully grown our&#160;business&#160;with the&#160;OEM, supplying both&#160;SKF&#160;products&#160;and&#160;services,” concludes Maritz.
